The Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church met on Thursday approved the organization, on March 25, the March for Life 2017 – ‘Helps mother and baby. They depend on you’, in support of traditional Christian family values, and launched a call to prayer, dialogue and social-responsibility, to be overcome the conflicts in today’s society, but also an incentive for parents working abroad that left the children in the country. Saturday, March 25, 2017, is the Feast of the Annunciation. It is considered to be the largest march in Romanian history.
“Through this event are confessed, in all eparchies of the Romanian Patriarchy, traditional Christian family values”, informs a press release of the Romanian Patriarchate.
According to the press release of the Association “Students for Life”, “Nationally, these events do not have a single organizer, but in every town and city there are independent local organizers representing various pro-life organizations and local institutions”
“Given that civic values promoted by this initiative are values that belong to the Church, Romanian Patriarchate blessed and supports its public manifestation of the level of discourse.”, announced a press release of the Patriarchate.
